Hard to believe that any grown man would think that disrobing in public for a nude swim--WHILE ACTING IN THE PURSUIT OF HIS JOB AS A MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES--is acceptable behavior . . . but . . . that's precisely what (IDIOT) Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-Kan.) did, while on a fact finding mission to Israel.
Not only is his behavior an offense to common sense and proper behavior, but it is disrespectful of our closest Middle Eastern ally, Israel. It shows an appalling lack awareness as to how a politicians behavior is always under scrutiny, and an astounding lack of self-discipline, moral rectitude, consideration for others present--INCLUDING THE DAUGHTER OF ONE OF HIS COLLEAGUES.
As a recovering alcoholic, I can say with certainty that anyone who can't control their behavior under the influence of alcohol--definitely has a drinking problem. I can't say if this idiot is also an alcoholic, only he can do that, but I can say he has no business representing the citizens of America if he can't even properly represent himself.By JAKE SHERMAN and JOHN BRESNAHAN8/19/12 8:09 PM EDTThe FBI probed a late-night swim in the Sea of Galilee that involved drinking, numerous GOP freshmen lawmakers, top leadership staff — and one nude member of Congress, according to more than a dozen sources, including eyewitnesses.During a fact-finding congressional trip to the Holy Land last summer, Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-Kan.) took off his clothes and jumped into the sea, joining a number of members, their families and GOP staff during a night out in Israel, the sources told POLITICO. Other participants, including the daughter of another congressman, swam fully clothed, while some lawmakers partially disrobed. More than 20 people took part in the late-night dip in the sea, according to sources who were participants in the trip.(cont'd at link)
Sorry guys, I have no patience with idiocy of this magnitude and of such a glaring nature. This guy needs to apologize and then step down. His behavior and his inability to make good decisions make him unsuitable to be in Congress (I should say the same about Harry Reid and most of the Democrats in Congress) but beyond that, as a conservative I resent being represented by idiots.
Hey Yoder, take the train. Leave now.
What is it about politicians that they think they can get away with the most offensive and dumbest behavior without repercussions? Surely they can't all be that naive and oblivious.
There is some flaw in whatever particular combination of genes propels individuals to seek a career in politics--whether for power or out of some sense of higher calling--which causes, in a small percentage of its progeny, the particularly self-destructive combination of arrogance and rank stupidity. Clearly both Congressman Yoder and Congressman Akin are so cursed.
Allow me to give all of you politicians a clue: YOU ARE ALWAYS ON CAMERA. You got that? You represent your fellow citizens at all times. Your stupid, rude, idiotic, offensive behavior ALWAYS reflect back on your constituents.
If you haven't yet figured that out, it's about time you do. Such stupidity is inexcusable. People like you, Mr. Yoder, and Todd Akin should be staked out in a field and left for the vultures as a warning to the painfully stupid.
(Sorry, I just can't abide this level of stupidity, no matter where it occurs)
Long Live Our American Republic!!!!
