America Loses Ground In Global Economic Battle

Will Malven

More bad news from the President Obama economic front, America has slipped two places in the global competitiveness rankings, from fifth to seventh.  Both Netherlands and Germany have moved ahead of the United States in the past year.  This from CNBC:

US Slips Down the Ranks of Global Competitiveness

The United States has slipped further down a global ranking of the world's most competitive economies, according to a World Economic Forum (WEF) survey released on Wednesday.

The world's largest economy, which was placed 5th last year, fell two positions to the 7th spot - marking its fourth year of decline.

A lack of macroeconomic stability, the business community’s continued mistrust of the government and concerns over its fiscal health were some of the reasons for the downgrade, according to the annual survey.

So, what does this have to do with us?  It means that our manufacturing, expectations of economic growth (read JOBS--Joe Biden's favorite 3-letter word), and hopes for a stable, booming economy are worse than they were last year . . . it means that productivity and our ability to produce high quality goods at a competitive price is worse than last year . . . it means that the Democrat Party/President Obama economic plan IS NOT WORKING.

Four more years?  I'm not certain America could survive ONE more year.

EDIT: (9/14/2012) It's even worse than I originally thought.  In 2008, the year Obama was elected, America was number 1--yep, TOP OF THE LIST.   Barack Obama kept his promise of "change."  That's quite a lot of "change," from #1 to #7 in a short 4 years.

Long Live Our American Republic!!!!
